When we say support, we do not only speak about donating money. In fact you can support us in any way that seems feasible for you.
So far our project is still at a starting stage, that is why we need help at all ends. Just contact us when you have an idea, that would work for us – we will make sure, it will work for us, too.
As you can see from the pictures all over our website, the school building it self is just a make shift place we have rented for now. We have some simple benches and simple boards, that is all. So the school mainly lacks everything from flooring, furniture, learn materials, teaching materials but also sanitary equipment (we do not even have a toilet or hand wash facility yet). Also the kids are in need of mainly everything, from nutritious food to clothes, shoes, mattresses to sleep on, hygiene materials (tooth brushes, soap, brushes,towels, sanitary pads for the girls etc.). In the past it proved being quite expansive for us to receive such packages by cargo, so we would ask that donating the materials would also include the transportation to the school. We invite also hotels, companies and restaurants in Nigeria to donate whenever they are changing their equipment or are renovating. What for you might feel being out of fashion, for us might serve as a treasure!
Do you want to get the real taste of helping others, doing something with your own hands? Here is the chance. You can come to Dutsen-Wai, help teaching the kids, training the teachers, educating the parents. Or how about doing a special project with the kids? If you like more the dirty work, you can help to build the new school, from molding bricks, to masonry or plumbing work. Every hand is much needed and welcomed.
Social media has a wide reach these days. By following, liking and sharing you might bring our project just in front of the right audience. This does not cost you anything but it might be a start of a big change for us.
